Here's the first series. These are approximately 10 minutes apart right up until total eclipse.

At total eclipse, you can actually see the stars near to the moon.

ISS

Space is pretty awesome. It's the perfect mix of science and art. There are a lot of people out there who have dedicated their lives to studying everything that is out of this world, and most of them will never get to experience living in the place that they study.

The people on the ISS are the lucky ones. They get to be a part of not only history, but a legacy of science. If you look into the sky, you might see a little dot flying through the heavens from time to time. If it doesn't have blinking lights (plane), a plume of fiery particles (meteor), or a big tail (comet), you've pretty much nailed it down to the ISS. You do not need a telescope to see it, and in fact can pick it up very well with the naked eye.

This means it can be caught on camera. This is my gallery of the ISS transits I've caught with my camera. Enjoy!

Planetary Conjunctions

From our little Blue Marble, we can see a lot of really neat stuff out in the sky. Every once in a while, things line up and look really close to one another, and we can have a look. When we can catch these things with our cameras, we can bring a little piece of the heavens with us.

This is a small catalog of the various planetary conjunctions I've caught since I've started astrophotography. Enjoy.

Lancaster/Depew Area

So I live/work in Lancaster/Depew NY respectively, and it's actually a pretty nice area. Here's some of the shots I've taken near my home.

Buffalo Naval Park

I made this trip to the Buffalo Naval Park back around the 4th of July (That's how far behind I am...) It's a great place, and I made it through The Sullivans and the USS Little Rock before I had had enough of crawling through tight spaces. After that I had a walk about the Buffalo Canalside area. It's absolutely gorgeous and made for a great morning. Here are some of the pictures!
